The 179C drum opener is a specialised tool for safely opening barrels and drums with bung or lid closures. It enables controlled loosening of closures without sparking and with minimal effort – ideal for use in safety-critical areas.

Made from aluminium-copper (AC) or copper-beryllium (BC), the drum opener is spark-free, anti-magnetic and corrosion-resistant. This makes it ideal for working in explosive Ex/ATEX zones, such as in chemical plants, refineries, the oil and gas industry, petrochemicals or mining.
