The Motorola DP4801 Ex is a fully featured, intrinsically safe ATEX handheld radio designed for professional use in potentially explosive atmospheres (Zone 1/21). It combines advanced MOTOTRBO digital technology (DMR) with ATEX and IECEx certification, thereby offering the highest level of communication security in harsh industrial environments such as chemical plants, refineries, oil and gas production, energy supply and mining.

With built-in GPS, Bluetooth and SMS functionality, the DP4801 Ex enables seamless voice and data communication – both locally and globally. The 5-line colour display with day/night mode ensures excellent readability in all lighting conditions, whilst the intelligent audio automatically adjusts the volume to suit ambient noise levels.

The full-size keyboard is easy to use, even when wearing gloves, and the five programmable function keys provide quick access to key safety functions. The robust, dust- and water-resistant housing (IP67) provides reliable protection during demanding operations.

Available in UHF and VHF frequency bands, the device offers up to 1,000 channels, emergency call and lone worker functions as well as long battery life with the 2075 mAh IMPRES Li-ion battery.
