The Technical Rule for Hazardous Substances (TRGS) 722 "Prevention or restriction of hazardous explosive mixtures" was revised in February 2025. Particular attention has been paid to section 4.3 "Inertization for the interior of installations", which has been supplemented with examples of deviations that can lead to a loss of inertization. Subsection 4.3.2 "Tightness of system components" has been added, which specifies the requirements for tightness with regard to inertization.
