In April 2024, the fifth edition of the guidelines for the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU was published by the European Commission. This updated version takes into account the agreements reached at the meetings of the ATEX Working Group. The guidelines serve as an interpretation aid for the practical application of the directive and are aimed at manufacturers, distributors and other players in the field of explosion protection.
