Seminar note: "Intrinsic safety in operational practice" (HDT)

The intrinsic safety of electrical systems plays a central role in explosion protection - especially when measurement and control technology is used in hazardous areas. The Haus der Technik (HDT) offers a compact seminar specifically for the practical implementation of intrinsic safety concepts.

Target group:

The seminar is aimed at planners, installers, operators and maintenance personnel of systems in potentially explosive atmospheres who work with intrinsically safe circuits or who have to test and document them.

Focus of the seminar:

  • Basics and standards for intrinsic safety (e.g. DIN EN 60079-11)
  • Planning, installation and testing of intrinsically safe circuits
  • Typical sources of error and how to avoid them
  • Documentation and test protocols in practice
  • Exchange of experience and examples from day-to-day operations

Benefit:

Participants receive concrete, practical information on how to reliably implement intrinsic safety in day-to-day operations and document it in a legally compliant manner.
